MatchLight IMS is an Image Matching System that enables LUTs to be automatically generated by directly comparing two or more images, creating a LUT that matches the before image to the after.

Matchlight is available in both Windows and Mac OS formats.

LUTs are becoming a standard part of any image based workflow, including on-line, off-line and even on-set. The problem many operations face is the ability to match previous grades, or take grades and apply them as 'Looks' on-set or during off-line editing.

 

 

The development of Light Illusion’s MatchLight IMS software allows a LUT to be automatically generated from a selection of 'before' and 'after' images, enabling the same 'Look' to be applied elsewhere.

Generated LUTs can be loaded into LightSpace CMS for further manipulation and format conversion, as well as being converted to ICC Profiles via SpaceMan ICC or the Light Illusion

LIGHTSPACE CMS (Colour Management System)
Generate LUTs automatically from 2 or more images - original and graded versions - with MatchLight automatically using the difference between the two to Generate the LUT. The LUTs generated can be loaded into LightSpace for LUT format conversion, or into SpaceMan to generate ICC profiles.

SPACEMAN ICC (ICC Profile Manager)
For many graphics systems, such as Photoshop, LUTs are not a calibration option. SpaceMan ICC will convert 3D LUTs into ICC profiles for us in such systems, including Light Illusion's own Alexicc system.

FILM PROFILING SERVICE (Film Path Calibration)
When LUT Building for a DI environment it is imperative to get the best possible preview on-screen of the final deliverables, and this still means a film print in many situations. This means making display LUTs that are accurate to the final film print image. Light Illusion provides a custom film profiling service to make sure your DI workflow is correctly calibrated.

LIGHTDENSITY XYZ (Film Density Profile Management)
The LightDensity XYZ program enables customers with their own densitometer to convert density readings into XYZ profile data for use in building LUTs via LightSpace CMS.

GAMMA CURVES (Sony CineAlta and Canon EOS)
The Gamma Curves provided by Light Illusion range from generate a pleasing image 'in-camera', to curves that generate low-contrast, high-dynamic range images that emulate the capture process of film negative, with curves available for the Sony range of CineAlta camera as well as Canon's EOS range.

ALEXICC (Offline/Editorial/On-set Workflows)
Alexicc is a software solution that enables offline systems, such as Avid Media Composer running on a Mac, and Final Cut Pro, to work with rushes using LUTs burnt in to the footage using graphics industry standard ICC profiles. This workflow is ideal for dailies and off-line workflows.
